Meet the Founders
Sanctuary Spa at the Palisades is locally owned and operated. Having lived in the Palisades for over 25 years and raised our children here, we’ve seen local establishments come and go, many being replaced by corporate chains who have no meaningful bond with the community. We wanted to open a business that has a positive effect on the neighborhood, its health, and happiness. We intended to create something wonderful, that was fairly priced, and that the neighborhood would love and enjoy supporting. We believe Sanctuary Spa provides that place for health, relaxation and tranquility in our community.

Taking care of those who took care of us
The golden treasures of our community are the parents, grandparents, and special individuals who raised and nurtured us. As you age your health, mobility and quality of life change dramatically. Massage therapy can positively affect chronic pain, arthritis, sleep issues, as well as provide improved blood flow and immunity, reducing blood pressure and accelerate the healing process. Unfortunately, most spa establishments do not offer specialized treatments for our ageing loved ones. At Sanctuary Spa, we are proud to provide a very special “ageless” signature massage for our esteemed elderly clients.

Yes, we offer a head, hands, and foot massage for minors 15 to 17 years old with a same gender therapist. The minor is required to be fully clothed during the treatment and a parent or guardian must be present for the duration of the treatment. The client and parent/guardian will need to provide written consent prior to the service.

Yes, walk-ins are allowed, and we are happy to provide spa treatments based on availability. We highly recommend making a reservation, especially on weekends.

Gratuities are not included in the price of our treatments, nor are they required. However, as a spa lover you may want to show appreciation for the exceptional service provided by your therapist or aesthetician. An average tipping recommendation is 18 and 22 percent of the treatment price, however, we always respect your tipping preferences.

To enhance the benefits of your facial, prior to your treatment please avoid using exfoliation products, facial waxing, Botox, fillers, or peel treatments, and minimize time in the sun.

We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment. This will allow you time to find parking, shake off the stresses and noise of the outside world, and fill out any paperwork if necessary. A late arrival will not allow you to experience the full benefit of your treatment. Treatments will still end on time in consideration of the next client.

A credit card is required to reserve an appointment. For a reschedule or cancellation 24 hours or less from your reservation, or a no show, a 100% cancellation fee will apply.
